Great hidden spot on the way to Owen Sound! Amazing building, garden and maze are good reasons to visit Morland Place!
Choose to come back for second time for my birthday, to explore the gardens and Labrynth with my family. It takes a lot of work to keep this place up and some areas that haven't been tended to in a while, it looked. With saying that, over all the experience is what you make of it. I love the nestalgic feel I get when I'm there and to wonder how it was back in the day of its prime.. "A Place to use your imagination."
The owner of this place is a very friendly gentleman. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. I wish we could have toured around more but it was very hot and humid and I was wearing a full suit so that wasn't going to happen, lol. I definitely hope I get to come back sometime and explore the grounds in more depth, if you come here you have to take the opportunity to explore the house and grounds.
Such an interesting place. Beautiful grounds. Gorgeous architecture. Friendly owner was there to let us inside to look around the house. Dog friendly. Would be a cool place for a wedding.
Barry, the owner, is an amazing fella. He's a wise man of few words but can teach you a lot in just a few minutes of conversation. After visiting the grounds, I got a copy of his book and it's a very interesting read !
