Lots to do: paddle boats, a pool, a nice picnic area, bird area, mini golf and lots of trails. The camping sites are pretty small and there are a few that are in need of some grass seed. The swimming pools were recently converted into a single pool that is more child-oriented. The park has a restaurant and ice cream shop with fair prices. Overall, a great place to camp and a spot that I have consistently returned to year after year.
Paddled here from the west side boat launch. Had a lovely picnic. The Emancipation Festival was happening when we arrived so we were treated to some fabulous food being served up at the various food trucks.
Visited last week with my family. Beautiful park with a big playground. Nice trail for kids. Also my loves the paddle boat. Will definitely visit again!
Just visited some friends here but the park looked great . Big playground for the kids and looked like lots of activities.What stood out for me was how well kept the park looked. The only down side was that the camping sites looked like they were pretty close to each other without much privacy. But you can fix that with some well positioned trailers or tents.
What a delight to picnic here. Lots of unique playground equipment and the exotic birds make for a special day. You can also camp although I did not see too many big rig sites. If you want to eat out the restaurant is very attractive. Parking is always available and the bike trails are interesting.
