Best gym experience to date. Holly was the lady working at the front counter and she was so helpful and lovely to deal with, shes very personable and has great customer service skills! Loved the gym itself as well, plenty of machines and very clean!
Good, clean and new facility. Lots of machines, should not find waiting for a machine. Does not have the range as others, but it is a smaller place. Also, make sure to have your membership RF scanner set up if going after hours. Also, no towel service and there is no temperature adjustment in the timed shower. Other than these first world problems, great, clean place with friendly staff!
I had a terrible experience at this location multiple times. The latest one happened on August 29 at 9pm. Knowing that this location was only staffed until 9pm and i rushed to this Goodlife and arrived prior to 9pm. I tried scanning my card and got denied access, having tried multiple and getting denied a female near the front desk asked if i was from out of town. I told her yes and asked her how i would go about using the gym. She told to to call the number on the wall and just left the gym. Upon calling the number i was told that you would have to register your scan card during staffed hours in order to get access to this gym if you are not from Owen Sound. I stayed in the front foyer for about 10 minutes while on the line with customer service.The worst part about this was finding out through members exiting the gym that the female who told me to call the number was actually a staff member. I found it extremely disrespectful of her asking if i needed help and telling me to call the number as opposed to just letting me in and clarifying the situation inside. It would have been easier for her to just let me in knowing that i was from out of town instead of telling me to call the number. I travel across Ontario for work and this is the first time i experienced this type of problem. Im assuming its possibly racial motivated. And the GM of this location and Head Office will surely hear of this disgusting incident.
$50 a month to be denied access by gate after staff hours. Said welcome after scanning my card once, although the gate never unlocked. Then it wouldn't accept my card again because of the silly 30 minute in and out rule even though it never let me in.
Planned on working out while visiting OS for the weekend. Reached out to customer service on Friday as I was a GoodLife member but forgot my pass. Did not hear back....for the entire weekend - paid to go to the YMCA.
